Fire Sprinkler
We all know this for a fact. And yet we don't realize how important it is to have the right sprinkler system installed in our home. Imagine this, every 90 seconds, someone's house is burning down and without a doubt, the house does not have a good sprinkler system installed. And what's even more alarming about this fact (apart from the fact that the homes were built without sprinklers in them?) is that 8 out of 10 fires in the United States result in DEATH. Funny that Americans actually feel the safer in their own homes, isn't it? Without a proper sprinkler system installed in your home, not a single member of your family member is safe!
And if that's not convincing enough, with fire sprinklers in the home, the risk of dying in the event of a fire is reduced by 82%! In some cases, having a smoke alarm system is not enough because the role of the fire sprinkler is to control the fire and keep the percentage of property loss during a fire down to the bare minimal.
Knowing what we know now about the importance of fire sprinklers in a home, we should all be rushing out to get fire sprinklers for our homes, shouldn't we?
Other than fire sprinklers, we also need to have…
Other than fire sprinklers, stuff like having a fire escape plan, fire drills and working smoke alarms are just as important to the safety of families. Sprinklers and other types of fire safety measures helps keep families flee from burning homes or help warn residents of a fire nearby. Having sprinklers and a smoke alarm in the home brings the potential death percentage down by 50%.And if that's not convincing enough, with fire sprinklers in the home, the risk of dying in the event of a fire is reduced by 82%! No encouragement from the government to install sprinklers
The government does not REQUIRE homes to have a sprinkler system installed in each and every home since they were introduced in the 80's but the fact remains that, only 2% of the homes in the U.S are equipped with fire sprinklers in their homes despite the life-saving capabilities of a good sprinkler system! Why aren't more people buying and installing fire sprinklers then?
So, why aren't more people installing sprinklers in their homes it could save lives? We can blame low consumer and homebuilder awareness for this problem because there is an alarmingly shortage of qualified fire sprinkler installers in the country, plus the cost of installing the sprinkler system in the home is quite high.Knowing what we know now about the importance of fire sprinklers in a home, we should all be rushing out to get fire sprinklers for our homes, shouldn't we?
