We all know this for a fact. And yet we don't realize how important it is to have the right sprinkler system installed in our home. In some cases, having a smoke alarm system is not enough because the role of the fire sprinkler is to control the fire and keep the percentage of property loss during a fire down to the bare minimal.

No encouragement from the government to install sprinklers

The government does not REQUIRE homes to have a sprinkler system installed in each and every home since they were introduced in the 80's but the fact remains that, only 2% of the homes in the U.S are equipped with fire sprinklers in their homes despite the life-saving capabilities of a good sprinkler system!

Why aren't more people buying and installing fire sprinklers then?

So, why aren't more people installing sprinklers in their homes it could save lives? We can blame low consumer and homebuilder awareness for this problem because there is an alarmingly shortage of qualified fire sprinkler installers in the country, plus the cost of installing the sprinkler system in the home is quite high.

Knowing what we know now about the importance of fire sprinklers in a home, we should all be rushing out to get fire sprinklers for our homes, shouldn't we?
